How to play MiSportsCareer

Everything the app does, explained from the start. Last updated: 28 September 2026

MiSportsCareer turns the football you really play into a player card that grows with you. You log your matches, the app scores your performance, and your card, your career record and your standing among other players move because of it. On top of that sit four ways to play together — MiClub, MiLeague, MiFantasy and MiCalendar — plus a community, a shop for card frames, and MiCoins to spend there.

  19. Quick answers

1. The big picture

There are two separate tracks, and they never mix:

Everything that decides a number — ratings, card movement, league results, coin balances — is worked out on the server. The app on your phone shows you a preview while you type a match, but the server scores it again from the raw numbers and its answer is the one that counts.

2. Getting started

Creating an account

You need a username (3–20 characters: lower-case letters, numbers and underscores), a password of at least 8 characters, an email address, your date of birth, your name, your team name and your position. You must be 13 or older. The date of birth is checked once at sign-up and is not kept afterwards.

Confirming your email

We send you a confirmation link. Open it and your address is verified. You can't sign in until it is confirmed. The link works for a limited time and only once; if it has expired, or you never got it, ask for a fresh one from the app (Profile → Email). If another person confirms the same address first, theirs wins — an address can belong to only one account.

Choosing your position

Goalkeeper (GK), Defender (DEF), Midfielder (MID) or Forward (FWD). Your position decides which stats you're asked for when you log a match, how your points are scored, and which attributes count towards your overall rating. Pick the position you actually play most.

The guided tour

Straight after you sign up, a short tour points at the real buttons on screen. You can skip it, and replay it any time from Profile → “Show me around again”.

3. Your player card

Your card shows a big overall rating (OVR) and six attributes. Underneath there are seven attributes in total, and every one of them starts at 40. You never edit them by hand — they move on their own from the matches you log.

AttributeWhat it stands for
PACPace — speed, how quickly you get about the pitch.
SHOShooting — finishing and shot quality. (Not shown for goalkeepers.)
PASPassing — accuracy and creativity.
DEFDefending — tackling, reading the game, keeping clean sheets.
PHYPhysical — strength in duels.
STAStamina — energy right to the last minute.
GKGoalkeeping — shown in place of SHO on a goalkeeper's card.

Each attribute can sit anywhere from 1 to 150.

Overall rating (OVR)

Your OVR is a weighted mix of your attributes, and the weights depend on your position — so a striker's OVR leans on shooting and a keeper's on goalkeeping:

PositionWeights (share of your OVR)
GKGK 40% · DEF 15% · PAS 15% · PHY 10% · PAC 10% · STA 10%
DEFDEF 35% · PHY 20% · PAC 15% · PAS 15% · STA 15%
MIDPAS 30% · STA 20% · DEF 15% · SHO 15% · PAC 10% · PHY 10%
FWDSHO 35% · PAC 20% · PHY 15% · PAS 10% · STA 10% · DEF 10%

Tiers

Your OVR puts your card in a tier, which changes how it looks:

TierOVR
Bronze0–59
Silver60–79
Gold80–99
Elite100–119
Prime120–139
Legend140–150

4. Logging a match

Logging a match is the heart of the game. Tap Log a match on Home. It takes four short steps, and you only fill in what you actually know.

  1. Match basics. The date, minutes played, the opponent, the competition (for example “Sunday League”), your team's goals, the opponent's goals, and — optionally — your team's possession %.
  2. Your performance. The stats depend on your position:
    • Forwards, midfielders and defenders: goals, assists, key passes (chances you created) and progressive passes.
    • Forwards and midfielders also enter shots (on target, off target, blocked). Forwards add successful dribbles.
    • Defenders enter tackles won, interceptions, clearances, blocks and times dribbled past. Midfielders and forwards enter tackles won, interceptions, blocks and ball recoveries.
    • Goalkeepers enter saves made and penalties saved. Goals conceded comes from the scoreline you entered.
    • Everyone enters passes completed and attempted, yellow cards, a red card, own goals and penalties missed.
  3. How did it feel? Three simple 1–10 scales: physical presence in duels, pace, and stamina by full time. These drive your PHY, PAC and STA.
  4. Review. You see your rating with a line-by-line breakdown of how the points added up, then send it.

Numbers have sensible ceilings (for example, 90 minutes of play, 30 goals, one red card) so a typo can't run away with your card. Nothing you enter is trusted blindly — the server rebuilds every match field by field and scores it itself.

5. How your match rating is worked out

Your rating uses Fantasy Premier League-style points. The points are added up, halved, rounded, and kept between 0 and 10. So 14 points is a 7, and 20 or more is a perfect 10.

What you didPoints
Played any minutes+1 (under 60 min) or +2 (60 min or more)
Goal+4 forward · +5 midfielder · +6 defender or goalkeeper
Assist+3
Clean sheet (60+ minutes, none conceded)+4 defender or goalkeeper · +1 midfielder
Goalkeeper saves+1 for every 3 saves
Penalty saved+5 each
Defensive contributions+2 — defenders at 10 tackles/interceptions/clearances/blocks between them; midfielders and forwards at 12 of those plus recoveries
Defender or goalkeeper conceding−1 for every 2 goals conceded
Yellow card−1 each
Red card−3
Own goal−2 each
Penalty missed−2 each
Example. A midfielder plays 90 minutes, scores once, makes an assist and the team keeps a clean sheet: 2 (played) + 5 (goal) + 3 (assist) + 1 (clean sheet) = 11 points, which is a rating of 5.5, rounded to 6/10. The Review step shows exactly this kind of breakdown before you send anything.

6. How your card moves after a match

Each match nudges your attributes up or down a little. Doing well pushes them up; a bad day can push them down. The main rules:

Your card is always replayed from your starting point through every counted match, in order. That is why a removed or rejected match, or a season reset, always lands correctly whatever order things happened in.

7. When a match is held for review

Some results are possible but very unusual — for instance more goals than your team scored, six or more goals in one match, or a save count no keeper is likely to reach. The Review step tells you when this applies, and it names the reason.

Held matches appear under “Waiting for review” in your Career.

8. Career: record, seasons, milestones and awards

The Career tab is your record: every match you've logged, your totals (matches, goals, assists, wins, draws, losses, clean sheets, average and best rating), your milestones and your seasons.

XP and level

Every counted match earns experience: 50 XP for playing, plus 15 per goal, 10 per assist, 5 per rating point, and 10 more if you played 60 minutes or more. Levels get steadily harder — level 2 needs 100 XP, level 3 needs 400, level 4 needs 900, and so on (100 × (level − 1)²).

Milestones

You unlock milestones for your first match, first goal, first assist, first clean sheet and first win; for playing 10, 50 and 100 matches; for a hat-trick (three or more goals in a match); and for a perfect 10/10 rating.

Season awards

At the end of your own season, you can earn: Golden Boot (10+ goals), Playmaker Award (8+ assists), Player of the Season (average rating of 8 or more), Golden Glove (defenders and goalkeepers with 5+ clean sheets) and Iron Man (15+ matches).

Your own seasons

You can start and end a season of your own from Career (“Season 1”, “Season 2”…) to organise your matches. Ending or starting a personal season does not change your card. How many past seasons the app keeps and lets you browse depends on your plan (see Plans below).

9. Public seasons, gameweeks and the −10 reset

The whole game shares one calendar. There are four public seasons a year, the same for everyone:

SeasonRuns
Season 11 January – 31 March
Season 21 April – 30 June
Season 31 July – 30 September
Season 41 October – 31 December

Each public season is split into weekly gameweeks. A gameweek turns over every Sunday at 9:00 am Singapore time (Sunday 01:00 UTC). That fixed cutoff is what MiLeague results, MiFantasy scores and MiCoin payouts are settled against.

The −10 reset

When a new public season begins, every one of your attributes drops by 10 once. It's a fresh start: you earn the ceiling back over the season. The drop comes from the public season — not from when you start or end a season of your own — and it applies after your last match before the new season, so it always lands in the right place in your history. Permanent frame boosts sit on top of your card and are not eaten by the reset.

10. MiClub

MiClub is your real football together: clubs of real players.

When you're in a club you enter the public MiLeague automatically.

11. MiLeague

MiLeague is the public, simulated league. It's played between clubs, and every result is produced by the match engine from the players' positions and overall ratings — never from what anyone says happened in real life.

Divisions

Fixtures and results

Match reports

Open any fixture to see the report: the score, a timeline of events, team stats, both lineups on a pitch with every player's OVR on the day and their match rating out of 10 (with goals, assists and cards), and each player's performance. A game that hasn't been played yet shows a projection, clearly marked.

Promotion and relegation

When a public season ends, the top clubs in each division move up and the bottom clubs move down — about a quarter of the division each way (at least one). Division 1 has nowhere to go up to, and the bottom division has nowhere to go down.

12. MiFantasy

MiFantasy is a fantasy game played with real players.

13. MiCalendar

MiCalendar puts everything on one date-ordered view: your club's MiLeague fixtures across the season (with results once played), your most recent real matches, your MiFantasy team and points, the current gameweek, and the next deadline.

14. Community

You need a public username for the community.

15. The Shop, frames and MiCoins

MiCoins

MiCoins are the game's currency. You can get them by:

Your balance and a history of every movement are on the Shop screen. The only thing to spend coins on is frames, at a price you see up front. There is nothing random — you always know exactly what you get.

Frames

A frame is a border for your card. Each also has an effect:

New frames are added over time, and prices or effects can change. The price and effect shown in the Shop when you buy are the ones that count. MiChampion members get early access to new frames.

Buying and equipping

Open a frame in the Shop, check the price against your balance and buy it. It then appears in your collection, where you equip or unequip it. A frame you can't buy right now (for instance one that isn't on sale yet) is clearly marked and its Buy button is off. Equipped frames show on your card everywhere it appears — your profile, club squads, rankings.

16. Plans

The core game — logging matches, your card, your career, MiLeague, MiFantasy, the community and the Shop — is free. Paid plans add convenience and customisation.

17. Your profile and account

18. Playing fair

The game only works if the stats are real. Log matches you actually played, with numbers you actually recorded. Unusual results are held for review, and accounts that cheat can be suspended and removed from the rankings. Be decent to other players, too — the Community Guidelines explain what's expected and what happens after you report something.

19. Quick answers

Why did my card drop by 10 at the start of the quarter?

That's the public season reset (section 9). It happens once at the start of each public season and you earn it back.

Why hasn't my last match changed my card?

It's probably held for review (section 7). Check “Waiting for review” in Career.

Do my MiLeague goals count towards my career?

No. MiLeague is simulated and tracked separately. Only matches you really played count for your card.

Why can't I join a second club?

You can play for one club at a time. Leave your current club first — or found a club to manage it without playing for it.

Why is my MiFantasy score 0?

Your five players score from matches logged during the current gameweek. Players who haven't logged anything yet this week score nothing until they do.

When does everything settle?

Every Sunday at 9:00 am Singapore time (Sunday 01:00 UTC).

Something looks wrong.
